greatest hits apply: do not godmod, do not create ooc drama, do not harass other players. any issues should be brought to the mod for mediation.
for obvious reason, all players and characters must be at least 18 years of age. although this is an r-rated game, there will be no non-con, under age, or heavily triggering material allowed in the main comms. if you would like to write these things separately, in private customs, you may. please also be respectful of other players' personal limits and restrictions.
major things like in-game deaths, pregnancy, etc. need to be approved by the mod before they take into effect in the rp.
players are allowed to have up to six characters, however you may only hold up to 2 characters at a time.
scenes should be labelled with a who, when, where, rating, and warnings as needed. anything nsfw or potentially triggering should be placed behind cut-tags.
gameplay
any age & era appropriate characters from the hp wiki can be held. all apps must have an active hold. oc's are allowed only as employees of the retreat. available roles include: counselors (3 of 4 available), receptionists (2), bar staff (3), groundskeeper (1).
characters could end up at the retreat in one of three ways:
one. characters who voluntarily chose to come to the retreat of their own volitioncharacters in category one are allowed to leave whenever they want. characters in category two are only allowed to leave after (a) a minimum of one year and (b) their assigned counselor deems them fit for discharge. characters in category three are only allowed to leave after (a) a minimum of six months and (b) their assigned counselor deems them fit for discharge or if they decide they no longer want to pursue the career mandating counseling.
two. characters who were guilty of minor crimes and/or transgressions during the war and in lieu of punishment, were mandated by the ministry to go to the retreat (ie. your character was a member of the inquisitorial squad)
three. characters who want to work in the ministry, professional quidditch, or any other regulated organization or place of employment and are required to attend counseling sessions at the retreat (ie. your character is training to be an auror).
only events through the end of the war are canon-compliant. everything post war should be considered au.
ic, journal entries are only readable by those on the retreat. [ward to x] are only readable to their intended recipient. strike outs have been scribbled out and cannot be read.
activity
activity checks will be held on the 1st of each month. activity includes a minimum of either one thread/scene/narrative/etc, one journal entry, or comments in at least two ic comm entries. if you need a hiatus for any reason, please leave a note in the dropbox.
